Divinity

I surrender to this divinity
Real fiction and fake reality
Existing in amorphus anonymity
For I a humble humanity

He turns the earth and buries a nation
Tearing plains beyond imagination
Yet creates spectacle season after season
A different face for every generation

He creates icons for pure admiration
And with pride heroes rule the earth
Like a tiger He tears them down
Fame and reputation He bring to ruin

On a face He fixes a smile
That calls all home from a mile
In darkness flips the same heart
Like the venomous viper to bite

He hides sanity in ignorance
Yet death at first chance
He secures serenity in innovatiuon
And the flipside pastes destruction

He bleeds eaglets with expectation
At their door step delivers recognition
In a flash their wings he clips
And a glorious genious star flops

He sends the sun to drain the plain
Thirst, dust and disease clog the lung
Then sends rain to relief the pain
And helpless breathless mortals to drawn

He snaps the life of boyant infant
All sorted out including insurance
Leaving a senile in perenial want
To live on the edge to his bonus

For a humble servant of mere chance
My curiosity I dare not advance
What am I on the earths face
For in a breath he can erase

The Devils Farewel

She set out to turn
Back to innocence return
Just one more indulgence
One final appearance

Invited devil and angels
Came in armed to all angles
Offered even the untested
What she had never tasted

Drove her to the climax
Not a minute to relax
And left her a trophy
To beat any in history

By the devils departure
She was more curious and eager
If ever that was her last
Only the devil knows best

Whoever idea that was
Only made things worse

Today I Met Mary

Today I learnt to drive
And thought about love
Today I met my cherry
She made my heart merry
She has beautiful teeth
A dimple on every cheek
Her smile is wow
I wouldn't miss that! How?
She's strong
She's fun
She blushes with a few maps
She's chocolate beautiful
Loves ice and chocolate too
Her touch is soft
Her voice low and soothing
She's bright
She's lovely
It got me thinking
For what am I waiting
Delivered with a ribbon
Its a beauty and add on
My cherry is Beautiful
Very beautiful
Am not letting go
And will let her know

Prayer of a Blessed Man

Ever present, All knowing, Almighty
The source, reason and result of all
From Thee my abundance did fall
Let for Thee I only but control

In my indulgence bid never to fall blind
Or the road of the wicked ever to ride
Your purpose and divine plan to abide
And your face from me never hide

Open my eyes to those in want
A kin in lack never to forsake
To comfort and never be arrogant
And to give not for return sake

And when the trumpet sounds on my day
With my accounts I head your way
Courageously confident to your throne
May I walk to receive my crown
Amen

A Journey To Perfection

From the crowd I was chosen
On the year, the month read seven
Today, the African year twenty ten
On twentieth, the year struck seven

On the mark of perfection
I turn to Thee in benediction
Henceforth to be a new creation
A new spirit your affirmation

Before Thee I lay prostrate
I bid my life to consecrate
I pray my vows never to forget
From Thy path never to depart

Like a novice I re-answer Your call
Afresh I offer my all
And along should I ever fall
To your Grace Your child recall

Like Your handmaid and Mother Mary
Let Your will be on Jean Marie
To firmly journey with my rosary
My Consolata to Eternal Glory

This far my Lord its You
Your promise for sure is true
The rest I surrender to You
All glory to none but You

Please Call Me

Do you sometimes feel lost and all alone
Or long for a soul for whom to belong
Do you gaze all day at an empty horizon
And feel the wait is way too long
Please call me

Do you stroll by the road to hours no end
Never sure where all this head or end
With nothing really cooking in your mind
And just smile alone as you cross the road
Please call me

Do you sit on a stone and listen to birds sing
Juggling the cell in your arm, hoping it ring
Think of the distance and wish you had a wing
And do not notice as you soak in the rain
Please call me

Do you lie down and in fantasy fly
And draw images with stars of the sky
Can't help thinking however much you try
And the feeling sometimes make you cry
Please call me

Does darkness leave you in fear
And only wish to you I were near
Is there a thing you want to hear
And by a chariot you want me here
Please call me

And when the day draws to a close
Do you lie restless and in bed toss
And only wish I were with you close
The last feel as darkness enclose
Please call me

Does you bed feel too wide
And dreams weird and wild
You dream I am by your side
Upon wake, I seem to hide
Please call me

Ever feel something you don't know
A feeling beyond heavens and below
One more than your heart can allow
Give me a call and let me know
In a second with you I'll be
For you are the world to me

Blade of the Torent Field

Still darkest before dawn
Waylaid by figures unknown
Claws like sharp daggers drawn
Chilled to silence and steel frozen
Darkness biting and long hours
Intimidating stillness all to despair
But neither did your soul scare
Or for a second despair

Just at the break of dawn
All swords drawn, the sun rose
Energy reserve with vengeance drain
Thirst and heat to edges toss
Not even once did you dare blink
or an inch your flair shrink
In solid courage your fate you face
No taint or trace of fear on your face

Wild winds whistled your way
From the earth your face to erase
Unmoved by threats and inflated stunts
Still stuck, an inch didn't tilt
By your side they shamefully brushed
Not a mark of a simple bruise
A decorated soldier you stand
A hero, for ages to be told

Clouds gathered and thunder rumbled
Lightening set horizons alight
Hails shred the leaves thin
Floods pooled to sweep the field
All artillery buried in the mud
To launched they famed attack
And the minute they were done
You stood firm like a morning blade

As the day drew its curtains
And soldiers return home
Tall among them you stand
A soldier who has won it all

Lifeless Hive

Fifty five after eleven
The date July Eleven
The whistle took the life
Off the giant Soccer City

Bee Flat fell flat
To the world, the nuisance gift
The elephant trumpet fell silent
Sedating the surmounting giant

If ever, came and is gone
If ever it will ever return
Not my time, maybe my son
And then will be strong to win

Bee buzz out of the hive
Taking away all it life
Will they ever return
Of course when its season

My Dream Lives On

Floods did rage the land to death
Turning and taking everything on its way
To show her might and strength
Over anything with and out-of breath
But never would it cause to bend
The dream down my heart

The sun arrived on its turn
Blazing like a vengeful foe
To churn and char to ash
All that dare rise
But never would she cause to wither
The dream down my heart

Clouds covered the sky over
Hanging a haze the land over
No light from the horizon
Never again to lead the way
But nothing could chill the dream
Deep down my heart

The night then struck
Dark and dead
Not an inch could I move
Along my laid truck
But this too didn’t choke
A life off my dream

I hold high my heart
And wedge forth to tomorrow
For nothing stands in the way
Of the will of my dream

I will Rise

Not for the sun that rose early
Or the eagles that rule high
Or clouds sprinting across the sky
That know not where or why

Not for the ants clawing by
Or the snail that seem to try
Not for riverbeds long dry
Or reptiles waiting by

Its for a love shone my way
By an angel who stopped by
Having traveled all the day
At my heart she found her sty

Bitter Pepper

To always tell you about tears
Every minute, nothing but fears
Even when I cant cope
Its nothing but giving up hope

It squeezes my every vein
To look back at days gone
Or the laughter that did reign
Like vapour it did sublime

Dreams down the cliff tumble
Glorious memories nothing but stink
Every gaze a python stub
As my breath in slow shrinks

To tell you that my days 're over
And darkness my best brother
That the sun must set forever
Is a thought true but sure

South Africa 2010

Humanity in a sea
To watch me dare be
A dream, imagination
Paperwork to admiration
Give me freedom
Take me higher
I need no reason
Its time for Africa

Air Bags

Like the mirage over a distance
So does it feel with every dawn
Promises of a good return
What to say of an empty return
After search and seek around
Its nothing for the future to hold
A plateful of air baggers
A stomach of scaring rumbles

Secret Sacred Chapters

Read for me a chapter from your heart
That which means to you the most
Read what to you is sacred
That to whom you've never read

Whisper to me the one word
That none from you has ever heard
That tastes sweet on your lips
And leaves your heart in leaps

Share that one secret desire
The height that your heart aspire
Say what you wish to admire
Before time your breath expire

Let me peep through your pain
That most stilled your inner vein
Whose memory can never erase
And destiny hate to ever face

Tour me through your heart
To know where it most hurts
And have a share of the joys
That spins your lifes wheels

The Destiny

Its 45 to Githurai
125 to Rongai
To Thika 237
And Mathare 11

Every one marked and assigned
Decorated, designated and designed
Clear for even the blind
And to their own they abide

Please answer my question
With all good intention
Give me the direction
The fuel for motivation

A blank road I dare not follow
Like a blind and hopeful fellow
Only to end in a bath so shallow
With nothing for affection to swallow

Mention the destiny of our ride
Drinks and bites to take aboard
Mark the stage we're to alight
To make certain this daring flight

Bud From the Wild

Pick me a beautiful new bud
From the wild and thorny weed
Take it by the precious hand
To the clean and manured yard
Where hibiscus bloom and roses reign
Preserved and prepared only for a king
For every passing eye to admire
And every dreaming soul desire
Be to me the one soul mate
That makes me feel important

I Denied the World

The day knocked on the window
Calling three blankets below
I turned and closed my eyes
Supported with enough reasons
I denied reality

I passed my hand at the back
And got a deal for a buck
Smiling my way to the bank
Though I caused another lack
I denied the system strength

Done with the gum wrapper
I dropped it at the corner
Though it stood out on the street
The thought never made me retreat
I added an inch on the pile
And denied the city beauty

I enjoyed the secret pleasure
And the results am so sure
Though similar like a mirror
I denied ever being near
And responsibility too

I fear the day is near
From myself I wont get near
The self I so much treasure
That dawn I dread to deny

Deep Blue Sea

I gaze at the vast sea
My destiny I fail to see
If at all I'll come to be
Far horizons dare to agree

I look at the blue sky
Am lost and ask why
Everything I dare to try
Only leave me to cry

I push to my very best
Not even dare to rest
Shall I escape the dust
Thick and clogging my chest

Destiny unknown and sealed
To me your secret reveal
Behind your guarded gates
What in lies for me
