She Called…

The long month came to an end
And as usual she called
She said she felt cold
And of the dark was afraid
My image couldn’t leave her mind
And of my voice, that she missed
She wondered if I were around
She had a few minutes to spend
Her lecture had bounced
And she was getting bored
The school site made her tired
And a break wasn’t too bad
The sem’ was getting old
And exams somewhere around
That’s why she seemed to hide
But a break she wouldn’t mind
Well, it’s with a friend!
To my place she would head
To watch one or two movies of old
My company was fun, she said
And ever good for the weekend
It’s the fun and adventure she liked
Beautiful as a morning undefiled
I’ve put her call on hold…
To call to level my head
Recall when she last called
And what my ears then heard
What went on to unfold
How the trap seemed concealed
With a smile I was tamed
And in a minute was fleeced
Nothing really has changed
To the same line she’s chained
A new twist she can’t even add
Apologetic I begged to sound
For now am a bit tied
May be around twenty third
There ain’t much work at hand
Thus more time to fool around
Then we can … the line went dead
May be the lecturer appeared…
