TELL THEM YOU ARE MINE

Send a word to those who smile
And they that read funny on email
So to they that gawk you a while
The kids, mates and the senile
Tell them you are mine

Remind them who every day text
And they that call in all pretext
Sending signals hoping you detect
And disregard courtesy or context
Tell them you are mine

And they who in secret admire
Too faint to voice their desire
Bank on darkness for them to acquire
Before they grind in to despair
Remind them that you are mine

And they that wag their egos and tongue
And claim to tame venomous fang
Ask if they’ve ever been stung
And sign that off with a bang
To echo that you’re mine

And when they promise the sun
And flashy their dollars shine
Remind them the season of rain
And how the basin cakes in pain
And thus you remain mine

Those who return and dare to remind
Counting and hoping something remained
And they too who wait by the side
If only the dream will come to end
They sleep they wake the dream remain
Now and forever, you remain all mine

  1. I am yours.

Especially to them whose flashy dollars shine!

    Your poetry is inspiring.
