Where Art Thou

I get lonely and lost

My being feels like waste

I search for that one thought

Where my soul will find rest

But you never came to mind

I Peruse memories of the past

Glorious hours of the night

Words I will never forget

Or joy I will never again get

But none has your tag

I set my heart to wonder alone

And find a place to belong

A heart worthy of its throne

A Place to call a home

But it did return barren

I search for a well of no thirst

A shade when the sun is hot

In a green valley devoid of dust

That inspires my every quest

In none were you present

Future flashes years ahead

When all fantasies will be dead

I will be all weak nearing the end

And can’t see you beside my bed

Are you real or just a dream

A mirage or pure stream

How dare you lay claim

To a heart you cannot tame
